Gro Spiseri

Gro Spiseri is a small eatery seating 25 guests inside a greenhouse on top of a rooftop. The building underneath is a parking lot in the residential district of Østerbro. Here, the restaurant co-exist with the rooftop farm ØsterGRO, where local residents grow their own vegetables and herbs. The restaurant uses the herbs from the rooftop farm and organic produce from local producers, as the vegetables go to people from the local community.

ROOF

Several hotels in Copenhagen offer rooftops, where you can enjoy fantastic views and watch the sunset. One of them is the five-starred hotel NH Collection in Christianshavn, where you will find the charming rooftop terrace ROOF. Here, you can enjoy cocktails, while the kitchen offers exquisite bites and snacks. It also provides an unrivalled panoramic view of the city's rooftops, mint green copper towers and water views. In addition to its location on Copenhagen's harbour front, the building is a historical icon originally designed by modernist architect Palle Sueson in the 1950s to be the headquarters of the B&W shipyard.

At the rooftop you will find a 100 meter long table, a meeting place where people of all ages can gather and have a view of the waterfront. You can bring your own picnic or stop by the Wine Bar for something to drink. In the building you will also find the two-Michelin starred restaurant Koan.

Do More is a social enterprise, driven by a mission to help people into employment. You can also enjoy a walk on the rooftop itself, which doubles as a new pedestrian route stretching over one kilometer. The IKEA store and rooftop is designed by the Danish architecture studio Dorte Mandrup and opened in August 2023.
