We create broader value by communicating our destination as a travel destination and our society as an inspiration to the world.
At INSPIRE, we are responsible for tourism attraction and international branding of the capital. We are also responsible for developing Copenhagen as a year-round destination and for inspiring visitors to greater cultural exploration. We work to inspire visitors to more sustainable behaviour during their visit and simultaneously inspire them to take home a more sustainable world.
We do this through:
International marketing of the capital: Our marketing department develops new campaigns based on our strategic goals, our close knowledge of the destination, and our knowledge of markets, target groups, and travel behaviour. We execute the campaigns across various channels, especially our VisitCopenhagen profiles on Instagram and Facebook, as well as other prioritised digital channels. Additionally, we develop and execute nudging campaigns regarding tourists’ behaviour at the destination.
International press and communication about the capital: We communicate Copenhagen’s experiences, strongholds, lifestyle, green solutions, and societal model – targeted at tourists, both before and during their visit. We do this through our VisitCopenhagen website and Instagram and Facebook profiles. We also do it through international media, where we handle several hundred international media visits annually – based on close knowledge of the destination and close dialogue with stakeholders.
Increased cultural consumption through the Copenhagen Card: We manage, develop, and market the capital’s experience card, the Copenhagen Card, which aims to increase visitors’ cultural exploration during their visit to the capital. The Copenhagen Card includes over 80 museums and attractions as well as public transport in a digital card.
