Saunas and hot tubs by the water

La Banchina boasts one of the city’s best spots for sunbathing and jumping in the water from early spring to late autumn. The restaurant has its own little designated swimming zone, open all year round and buzzing with life during summer. Come winter and a wood-fired sauna gets you all set after a cold dip in the harbour.

Dive into one of the hot tubs and use the saunas to enjoy some peace and pampering out of the ordinary out on Refshaleøen with panoramic views of Copenhagen.

Chill out in a fire-heated barrel spa at the harbor or enjoy the warmth of the wood-heated panoramic sauna with stunning sea and city views from Mikkeller Baghaven. Also set at Refshaleøen, Copenhot is the biggest outdoor spa area in Denmark and their services also include floating motorized hot tubs.

Usually an exclusive members-only sauna club, Glaecier offers two open sessions for non-members every Tuesday. It is built on a large, specially designed-houseboat and features a floating pool with a wooden deck, outdoor areas and great harbour views.

Specializing in saunagus (sauna therapy) this place has open sessions for non-members a few times a week at a stationary sauna at Margretheholmen Harbor, Refshaleøen.. They also run a mobile SaunaTruck with changing locations around the city.

Winter Island is centrally located and an actual floating island with four big saunas and a bar with a pergola, wind protection, heat lamps and a lovely winter menu. Green Island, on the other hand is the summer version with a bar and a sail-thru concept – a spin off of the drive-through concept – for boats and Green Rafts. Also available is free use of Green Kayaks provided the customers then pick up trash while sailing  through the canals. 

And finally, JustSauna is another saunagus (sauna therapy) specialist offering two mobile wood-fired saunas on wheels with room for up to 20 people. It is located in the cozy old maritime neighbourhood Sydhavnen.
